I first got to see the Kotobukiya Halo armor sets–the blue Mark VI armor and Master Chief Mark V armors–at the New York Toy Fair 2015 last Valentine’s Day.
I’ve been wondering why we never saw any more armor sets announced after that, but I think the reason may be becoming clear: the Halo Kotobukiya armor sets are now 50% off and free shipping just two months after being released!

For over a year now, we’ve been waiting for the revived Kotobukiya Halo ARTFX+ statues line to officially arrive. And while I saw in-development pieces at Toy Fair in February and already pre-ordered all of the new Halo statues online this summer, at New York Comic-Con 2015 last week, I finally got to see the finished products face-to-(sculpted) face!

I’ve talked a fair bit about the Halo Mega Bloks Summer 2015 sets that were on display at the New York Toy Fair 2015 last week, but those weren’t all the new Halo collectibles that were on display at the event! Kotobukiya put out their 1/6th scale ARTFX Master Chief statue earlier this winter, but at the 2015 Toy Fair, they showed off their cheaper (and cooler!) 1/10 Master Chief ARTFX+ statue and alternate Spartan armor sets!

San Diego Comic Con 2013 Preview Night isn’t set to begin for hours yet, but our first major Halo toy news announcement has already come out from a most unexpected source: Kotobukiya! Kotobukiya did a brief tour of duty with Halo collectibles with their Kotobukiya Halo 3 ArtFX Statue series, but we haven’t heard from them in years so far as Halo goes. But it looks like Kotobukiya is returning for a second campaign in Fall 2014, when their new line of Kotobukiya Halo 4 ArtFX and ArtFX+ statues will start to be released!
