2014 has been a pretty dark year for Halo collectors, but thankfully, things are finally looking up! Not only do we have the entire summer/fall 2014 Halo Mega Bloks collection to look forward to, but McFarlane Toys, NECA, and Kotobukiya have gotten in on the act and have their own Halo products set for release in 2014. And now one of my absolute favorite companies is coming back into the fold: Square-Enix! At E3 2014, the next Square-Enix Play Arts Kai Halo figure was announced: the Play Arts Kai Halo 2 Anniversary Edition Master Chief figure!
Anyone who’s been reading this site long-term knows that I absolutely adore the Square-Enix Halo Play Arts Kai action figures. As much as I like Mega Bloks Halo and the McFarlane Toys Halo figures, I absolutely consider the Play Arts Kai Halo figures to be superior to anything put out in smaller than the sixth scale. Sadly, I thought that after no new figures were revealed during the past year and a half, the Halo Play Arts figures line might be at an end.
I was wrong.
At this week’s 2014 E3 Expo event, Square-Enix had several never-before-seen Play Arts Kai action figures on display–and one of them was an all-new Halo Play Arts figure!
The new 9″ Play Arts Halo 2 Master Chief figure with include two all-new weapons to the Halo Play Arts Kai line: a Covenant Energy Sword and dual SMGs.
Halo Play Arts Kai action figures are available for order online, although many figures such as Emile and the Halo 4 Master Chief are now sold out permanently.
No further details are available at this time regarding the release of the Square-Enix Play Arts Kai Halo 2 Anniversary Edition Master Chief figure, but I’ll post an update to the Halo Toy News Facebook Page once more information is available about when this figure will be available and for how much.

Dang it Cortana i told you to not only wake me when you need me, but also when something new came up at Halo Toy News!!! Yeah its been a long time but im hopeful Play Arts Kai keeps going and making more figures, who knows maybe they’ll come out with the new Spartan featured in Halo 5: Guardians (i forget his name starts with a L), but on Mega Bloks note, i due seriously hope we get a few Halo 2 sets, seriously its Halo 2 Anniversary plenty of new and remake sets to throw out.

I really want Play Arts to make a Covenant figure. I think an Elite would sell well.
