I’ve got a little bit of a weird store exclusive to talk about today, as recently Gamestop stores have been receiving McFarlane Halo 4 exclusives of their own: slim carded Halo 4 Series 1 figures! These figures are exactly the same as the mass market released Series 1 Halo 4 figures, but with variant packaging that is much thinner and more conservative!

As you can see from the photo above, the GameStop slim-carded variant figures are much less space-consumptive and actually may do a better job showcasing the figures than the regular releases. The smaller packaging is due to the fact that Gamestop stores are receiving a Halo 4 display that isn’t large enough to accommodate the regular width packaging.

All four Halo 4 Series 1 figures are available in the thin packaging, including the Master Chief, Elite Zealot, Grunt Storm, and red Spartan Warrior. The blue Spartan Warrior is, of course, still only available as part of the Target exclusive Halo 4 4-pack. Other than the cardbacks, these figures are exactly the same as their mass release counterparts and feature no additional accessories or paint deco.

As you can see from the UPC codes on the packages, the slimmer carded Halo 4 McFarlane Toys figures each have a “GS” attached to the item name above the barcode, denoting this packaging as a Gamestop exclusive version.

In the past most Gamestops tended to receive only one or two cases of every case of McFarlane Halo figures that they carried, so if you want these Gamestop exclusive packaged Halo 4 figures, now is the time to act! Gamestop doesn’t carry Halo action figures on their online website (they used to carry the Halo Gamestop exclusives online but stopped), so you’ll have to call or visit your local Gamestop store to see if they have them in-stock.
