If there’s one Halo Mega Bloks 2013 set that Halo 4 fans have been dying for since it was unveiled in the fall, it’s the Halo 4 Mega Bloks UNSC Mantis 97115! Now–finally–the UNSC Mantis has arrived and is in-stock and available first from BA Toys! They only received a very limited number of these sets, and they’re not expecting to get more until early February, so if you can’t wait another month to build your own Halo Mantis, this is your chance!

The UNSC Mantis is the all-new mech that debuted in this year’s Halo 4 video game and lit the fires of excitement in giant robot fans everywhere. It was designed for combat and battle purposes by the UNSC. It is the successor to the UNSC Cyclops from Halo Wars which was designed for mining uses.

Not only does Halo Mega Bloks 97115 give fans their first-ever Halo mech toy, but it also includes the first release of the Halo Mega Bloks Spartan Warrior armor permutation–in the wildly popular stealth Black color scheme! And if that’s not enough new for you, the Stealth Spartan Warrior comes equipped with the first-ever SAW Light Machine Gun weapon, which also debuted in Halo 4. Coupled with the Mantis’ five-tube missile launcher and heavy machine gun, this Spartan Warrior is virtually invincible!

And did I forget to mention that the set also includes its own UNSC Mantis docking station…?

The 443-piece Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Mantis 97115 was first revealed on the official Halo Mega Bloks Facebook page back in October, with a set description and more information accompanying it on the Mega Bloks blog that same day. Then I had my first opportunity to see the UNSC Mantis up-close and personal and take a ton of photos of it at New York Comic Con 2012 the following week. Two months-plus later and I feel like I’ll burst if I don’t add the exo-suit to my own collection right away (and luckily, I’m going to!).
