I saw them unpainted at New York Comic Con back in October, and now the Halo 4 Play Arts Kai Series 2 Figures of Sarah Palmer and a Red Spartan Soldier are fully-painted and up for pre-order!

Almost unquestionably the high point of this pair of figures (and perhaps the Halo Play Arts Kai figures line as a whole) is the amazing Sarah Palmer figure. Sarah Palmer is the Spartan IV you encounter during the campaign mode in Halo 4, and one of the more popular characters introduced in that video game. As of yet, Square-Enix is the only company that has announced a Sarah figure, as she’s not currently scheduled to be included in the McFarlane Halo 4 figure line or the Halo Mega Bloks 2013 assortments that have been revealed.

Sarah Palmer stands 9″ tall and includes the extremely popular new UNSC Railgun, along with a Magnum, a set of alternate hands, and a figure stand. This is likely to be the best-selling Halo 4 Play Arts Kai figure (by a wide margin), so be sure to get a pre-order in and reserve Sarah Palmer if you want her.

Square-Enix definitely made the right call when they chose to make their Spartan Soldier figure red–despite the fact that we got three Spartan Soldier color variants in McFarlane Halo 4 Series 1, none of those figures are in red (they’re blue, orange, and purple). Now, thanks to Square-Enix, die-hard Red Spartan fans won’t have to go without a red Spartan Soldier figure in their collections!

The Halo 4 Red Spartan Soldier Play Arts Kai figure stands an imposing 9.5″ tall and includes an alternate set of hands, a figure display stand, a Forerunner Suppressor, and a UNSC Magnum.

These figures are far larger, better-articulated, and more-detailed than any other Halo 4 action figures on the market, but they come at a hefty price-tag of $69.99 each. Only a few of these Halo Play Arts Kai figures are released each year, and their extreme coolness makes them worth their high price.
