Today was a significant day for Halo fans, as not only did the last episode of the immensely popular “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn” digital series end, but subsequently to the episode airing, McFarlane Toys–as promised–announced their first-ever resin Halo statue! We didn’t know the subject of this “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn” statue until today, but it’s a biggie all right: a Covenant Hunter vs. Master Chief statue!
We’ve previously had statues of the Master Chief and Arbiter from other companies, but this is the first time we’ve ever seen such a huge and imposing Covenant Hunter! I thought that the Halo 3 Hunter action figure McFarlane Toys released was impressive, but this Hunter statue is superior in every way and brings us the detail of the Hunter as never before. And with the Master Chief added into the mix for a sense of scale, the Hunter looks even more dangerous and mammoth.
The anticipated release date for this iconic “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn” Hunter vs. Master Chief resin statue is December 13th, 2012, but pre-orders are available from the Official Spawn Store as of this afternoon. Not only is every one of these statues individually numbered, but it also includes a certificate of authenticity signed by the legendary creator of Spawn, Todd McFarlane! This 14″ Halo collectible costs a hefty $225 on the Official McFarlane Toys Store, and the price includes free shipping within the United States and Canada.
If you want in on this awesome Halo Hunter vs. Master Chief statue, I’d highly recommend heading over to the Official McFarlane Toys Store as soon as possible. The statue is limited to a paltry 500 pieces worldwide, which means it’s likely to be an extremely fast sell-out–especially with Halo 4 fever sweeping the nation this month!
