2014 has gone by like a whirlwind, and as crazy as it may be, it’s already time to get psyched up for the Halo Mega Bloks 2015 sets! Even though the absolute earliest we should see the Halo Mega Bloks Bravo Series (AKA Halo Mega Bloks Series 11) figures beginning to arrive is in December 2014, over the past week MEGA Brands has been nice enough to reveal all nine figures that make up the eight different Halo Mega Bloks Series Bravo blind bag mystery packs…

There’s a first time for everything, and for the first time ever, MEGA Brands decided to debut an entire series of Mega Bloks Halo figures over Instagram!

I’m stuck in the stone ages, so the name “Instagram” immediately brought a confused, quizzical look to my face, but I ended up venturing over to check out the images anyway. And as it turns out, I’m glad I did, because the Halo Mega Bloks Bravo Series is pretty loaded!

The 2015 Halo Mega Bloks Bravo Series figures will be as follows:

Green Storm Grunt with Plasma Pistol [Common]
343 Guilty Spark with Metallic Purple Flood Elite Combat [Common]
Halo 2 UNSC Marine with Assault Rifle [Common]
NMPD Trooper with Assault Rifle [Common]
Green HAZOP Spartan with old-style Energy Sword [Common]
Halo 4 Navy Elite Ranger with new-style Energy Sword [Rare]
Skirmisher Major with Needle Rifle [Rare]
Halo Reach Blue Brute Minor with Brute Shot [Ultra Rare]

As soon as MEGA Brands announced the rarity scale for this series, the complaints began about the Bravo Series Brute Minor being the Ultra Rare figure in the series, but I’m really not sure what else MEGA Brands would have made the “Ultra Rare” figure in the series.

343 Guilty Spark is too important to make the shortpacked figure (finding the Ultra Rare Cortana was a pain); the Halo 2 Marine, NMPD Trooper and Ultra Grunt figures aren’t special enough to be Ultra Rare; the only Spartan in the series wouldn’t make sense as an Ultra Rare; and collectors would have been furious if the Elite Ranger or Orange Skirmisher had ended up being Ultra Rare.

By virtue of the fact that Brutes are never especially popular, the Halo Reach Brute Minor really was the best choice to make the Ultra Rare in this series (sorry, Brute army-builders!).
