It was only last week that photos surfaced of the complete line-up for the Halo Mega Bloks Series 6 Hero Packs of blind-bagged mystery figures, but Series 6 has now burst onto the scene with sightings in Europe and Canada!
We can now confirm the common, rare, and ultra-rare figures in the set. Rejoice, Covenant army-builders! The Covenant Jackal is not only not the ultra-rare figure, it’s not ever rare–the Covenant Jackal Mega Bloks figure in Halo Mega Bloks Series 6 96978 is in fact a common figure!! And yes, the Jackal does include an Energy Shield, even though you can’t see it clearly on the bag photo. Bolstering your Jackal ranks just got a whole lot easier (and cheaper)!
It will most likely take several weeks for the new mystery pack blind bags to fully satiate stores in the United States, which should be right around the holidays. Can’t wait for these figures to hit your area? You can check out the active sale listings for sets and individuals of the Halo Mega Bloks Series 6 figures here!
The rarity of each figure is as follows:
UNSC Cobalt Marine (Common)
Covenant Jackal (Common)
Copper Covenant Grunt (Common)
Purple UNSC Spartan EOD (Common)
Covert Black UNSC Spartan EVA (Common)
Cyan Covenant Combat Elite (Rare)
Gold UNSC Spartan Mark V (Rare)
Red UNSC Spartan Grenadier (Ultra Rare)
The Copper Covenant Grunt with Needler definitely seems to be exactly the same figure as was released in Series 5. I’m not sure if this is just a carry-over release or if MEGA Brands has plans for a running-change on this figure or what. I can’t imagine there are that many people still wanting to army-build only Copper-colored Grunts.
Also, as with the Halo Mega Bloks Series 5 and 5.5 Hero Packs, there is at least one colored, transparent plastic secret figure in the set: a clear purple Covenant Elite Combat figure. There may well be more secret figures that haven’t been discovered yet, but the clear purple is the only one we know about for sure (for now).
We’ll post the code numbers list for the Halo Mega Bloks Series 6 Hero Packs figures just as soon as they’re available.
the grunt is a slightly different shade of copper and the back of his methane pack is white also don’t forget the light green and purple translucent elites
