Halo Mega Bloks Summer 2013 Sets Released in the United States!

If you’re like me, at this point you are absolutely starving for new Halo Mega Bloks sets. I already had and built all of the early 2013 Halo Mega Bloks sets by mid-January of this year. It’s been five months with nary a new set to build, and it has been one grueling wait for fresh Halo construction sets. But that wait is now coming to a merciful end. Drop to your knees and thank the Forerunners–the first wave of 2013 Halo Mega Bloks Summer sets has arrived in the United States at BA Toys, and is shipping out this weekend!

Halo Mega Bloks Summer 2013 Sets ReleasedThe first wave of Mega Bloks Halo Summer 2013 sets consists of eight sets:

  • 97065 UNSC Weapons Pack
  • 97066 Forerunner Weapons Pack
  • 97076 Covenant Weapons Pack
  • 97082 ODST Battle Unit
  • 97085 Brute Battle Unit
  • 97131 UNSC C&C Console
  • 97133 UNSC Hangar Deck
  • 97170 Forerunner Terminal

Halo Mega Bloks 97085 Spartan Security Figure with Brute Battle Unit I’ve talked at length about each of these sets several times since they debuted at Toy Fair 2013 in February, so there’s not a whole lot more for me to add beyond what I’ve already said about any of them until I have them in my hands–and thankfully, that will be in just a few days now! Halo Mega Bloks Summer 2013 Buildable Booster Frame Sets PackagedIf you’re like me and have an insatiable need to own new toys the second that they’re available, I highly advise ordering these sets from BA Toys ASAP. They received a limited number of these sets, and the Weapons Packs are already sold out. Regular stores like Target and Walmart and so forth will most likely not start to receive these Summer Halo Mega Bloks sets for several weeks (if not months). I still don’t see some of the earlier 2013 Halo Mega Bloks sets at retail stores very often, so I’m glad I get all of mine online.

Halo Mega Bloks Forerunner Weapons Pack 97166I have all eight of these sets on the way from BA Toys, and will be reviewing each of them in-depth starting next week, just as soon as they arrive. As far as what set I’m going to be reviewing first, well… those of you who read this site regularly have probably already guessed as much, but the set I’ll be tearing into first is going to be the only one amongst this first batch of Halo Mega Bloks sets to feature the Spartan Security figure…

    • I came home to Wisconsin for father’s Day this weekend. I just went to Toys R Us last night just to look around, and I saw both the ODST Battle Unit and the Brute Battle Unit on the shelf. They had just put them out. There were two sets of each. The reason for surprise is that Wisconsin tends to be VERY behind in receiving new halo mega bloks. So they should be at least in Toys R Us locations everywhere very soon if now right now.

  3. You’re lucky – in the UK we are still waiting. Last new pack we had was the Jungle Cyclops… and that seems so long ago.

  4. This is torture! Those packs look awesome, and I want to buy them all, but the price of multiple battle packs quickly adds up, and I have to save up for the big sets incoming. I think I will wait to see te official annoucement for the next signature series before buying anything…

  6. Wait… What? The weapons pack came out like two weeks ago in Mexico, and I bought both Combat Units last week.

    • Right! The sets hit Mexico a couple weeks ago–but they’re all new to the United States!

  7. HEY Dabid how much did all of the sets combined cost? And my favorite set is the covenant weapons pack with the awesome storm elite. I’m looking forward to get all the weapons packs because those are my favorites. Thanks for the news!

  8. HEY also something really cool is on the target website. It is a collectors edition set. It comes with 3 gold Spartans and an invisible one too. And the covenant have a blue grunt two blue elites and a silver elite(the type that came with crimson pod). So you guys should check it out. It is listed as a 20$ set but it’s kinda worth it.

  9. Today I went to Toys R Us and the only new thing they had was 1 brute battle pack so I immediately got it and saved $3 or so because they didn’t have a price on it yet so they just guested the price =D I live in tucson az

  10. Still finishing please send new stuff here I haven’t even seen a Cyclops yet o well guess I got to buy everything online but at least I got one new set

  12. Has anyone found these in local stores yet? Target said tey were in stock at my store so i went and guess what…they dont have anything out! Still iold sets! I managed to get the covenant spectre ambush for $11 tho on clearance lol
