I finally got my Halo Mega Bloks Warthog Resistance 97011 set in the mail! I’ll have a complete photo gallery and in-depth review of the Warthog Resistance set posted in all its glory later in the week, but I thought I’d share some in-progress photos of the built to tide my readers over until then…
The Forerunner Structure included in the Warthog Reistance Halo Mega Bloks set is an incredibly simple build, and can be fully built in about 5 minutes. I don’t really have a clue what the structure is meant to be or to do exactly, but I guess that makes sense, since the Forerunners were advanced beyond our understanding! Heh.
I didn’t get very far into the construction of the Warthog itself today, but I’m about 25% done on the Warthog itself and it only took me another 5-7 minutes. I lost another 5 minutes due to a careless error misreading the instructions, but if the build occurred without accidents, it just wouldn’t be one of mine. If you build the set without making mistakes, I would guess that this Halo Mega Bloks 97011 set can be totally built in approximately half an hour. For me, it’s probably going to end up taking about 45 minutes. But that’s me.
I don’t have the entire set built yet (obviously), but my early impression is that this set is comparable in size and piece-count to the Covenant Revenant Attack set that came out at the beginning of the year I don’t think the Forerunner Structure is anywhere near as amazing as the Bubble Shield that we got in the Revenant set, but I’ve already seen loads of new and fantastic pieces included in this set, not the least of which the all-new Spartan figures and the all-new Elite Zealot.
I’ll have a totally in-depth, detailed review of the Halo Mega Bloks Warthog Resistance set posted toward the end of this week. Watch for it!
