Massive Halo 4 Figures & Halo Micro Ops Clearance Sale at Target!

If you’ve held off on purchasing any of the Halo 4 figures or Halo Micro Ops sets released since last fall (and if you have, shame on you), you may in luck–all of my local Target stores have begun a massive clearance sale to clear out all of their Halo toys. This is both good news and bad news… from certain points of view…

Halo 4 Figures and Halo Micro Ops Toys on Clearance

I was pretty astonished when I went into my local Target Saturday morning and saw that every Halo toy in the store had had a red clearance sticker applied to it. This is very similar to the current sale on Amazon with $8 Grunt Storms, $7 Cortanas and Watchers, and so forth. Want McFarlane Halo 4 figures for 8 dollars instead of 12 dollars? You’re in luck. Hoping to get that cool (pun intended) Cryo Tube with frozen Master Chief for 17 bucks? You’re in. Need a few more Halo Micro Ops sets to complete your diorama, and want to pay about 5 dollars each? Your needs, too, have been met.

McFarlane Halo Toys and Figures on Clearance at Target If you’re looking to get McFarlane Halo 4 Crawlers and Watchers figures for cheap, this is definitely an effective sale for army-building. And that goes double for the Halo Micro Ops set, which many said were always overpriced to begin with. And hey, if you didn’t pick up the awesome “Halo Legends: The Package” three-pack, well, now’s your chance–and for cheap, too!

Halo 4 UNSC Cryotube Marked on Sale with Red Clearance StickerThere is, of course, a negative light to this sale as well, which is this: Target is getting rid of all of their McFarlane Toys Halo products. With no new McFarlane Halo toys scheduled to be released until fall, that means that Target is essentially eliminating their Halo section completely. Will Halo reclaim its space on the pegs in a few months time, when new product is eventually released? We can only hope.

Halo Legends The Package Spartans Box Set with Clearance StickerWhile clearance sales like this one are great for getting deals and picking up items you otherwise might not be able to afford, they also speak very ill of the overall health of the Halo McFarlane Toys brand, and bode poorly for the future longevity of the Halo toy lines in stores.

  1. Sucks to live in Canada, we haven’t got Target yet, Zellers is getting replaced by it, though, but God knows how long till’ it happens.

    • No–Halo isn’t on the Target planograms for the new aisle reset at all. The line has to be on clearance nationwide. If your store hasn’t clearanced their McFarlane Halo figures yet, they will soon, as there’s no place in the aisle for the line once they reset it.

  4. Yeah , this sale has been going for close to a week here in NY. Picked up an extra crawler and watcher. This definitely does not look good for the line as a whole though.

  6. This happened at Meijers a few months ago I got about 3 more micro ops falcons but they didn’t have any more.

  7. Just and FYI. Barnes and Noble is doing the same thing. All halo figurines are 50% off and in the clearance section with the other videogame stuffs.

  8. BREAKING NEWS- JUST ASKED AN EMPLOYEE AT TARGET- SAID THEY ARE NO LONGER GOING TO CARRY HALO TOYS. Don’t know for sure if he’s right.. but thats terrible, heartbreaking news…

    • In a way, that employee is totally right. Halo has been taken off the planogram for the next toy aisle reset at Target. However, this is largely because there is no new product coming out for Halo this summer. I’m hopeful (if not confident) that Halo will return to Target stores in the fall when new product is available.

      • Phew, thanks, thats a relief. I was wondering if that may be the case. This whole half a year of waiting thing isn’t really my flow… whereas previous Halo lines had new waves every 2 months and I could anticipate the figures I want… now I’m questioning if this wave may be the last, and I’m trying to grab em before they go extinct! Got a Blue Soldier today just in case the Majestic team pack doesn’t include him… darn you Mcfarlane for keeping it secret!!!!!!
