Get ready, Halo fans! The second-biggest (or first-biggest, depending on who you ask) comic book convention of 2015 is nearly upon us: New York Comic Con 2015! As usual, I’ll be on-hand at the event, covering all of the new Halo toys on exhibit by MEGA Brands, McFarlane Toys, Kotobukiya, and more! And this year, that will include the all-new Mega Bloks Halo Heroes Series 1 & Series 2 figures!
That’s right–for the first time ever, Mega Bloks collectors will be able to purchase individual Halo mini-figures without having to buy blind bags, drop pods or any other such thing. Just a beloved character and their weapons and accessories (including nifty stands with their individual names on them)!
During their PowerPoint presentation at San Diego Comic-Con 2015, MEGA Brands confirmed the first six figures which will make up Halo Heroes Series 1:
- Master Chief Spartan Mark IV Armor
- Buck (ODST)
- Spartan Thorne
- Spartan Vale (Fireteam Osiris)
- Teal Orbital Spartan
- Lime Spartan Defender
The leaked image above shows what the single-carded packaging will look like for Spartan Thorne and the other character who make up the first wave of Heroes. Snazzy, isn’t it?
At this time, no information has surfaced regarding the figures that will make up the Series 2 Halo Heroes. That said, here’s my official predictions for the characters that we’ll see revealed at NYCC next week:
- The Arbiter
- Spartan Linda
- Spartan Locke
- Romeo (ODST)
- Spartan Sarah Palmer
- Multiplayer Spartan
How close to correct will my total guesses be…? We’ll find out in under a week! It sure would be nice to get the first Linda Spartan figure ever, though, wouldn’t it?
I’ll be reporting from New York Comic-Con 2015 all four days of the event, and you can ‘Like’ Halo Toy News on Facebook to have all the news and photos sent direct to your Facebook Newsfeed!
What do you think of the new Halo Heroes line, collectors? Are you excited for single-packed named characters, and who do you hope to see appear in Series 2 at NY Comic Con 2015?
This is awesome. Any word on pricing and release dates? Hopefully there will be enough produced that they aren’t hard to find.
Seeing as we don’t have a new articulation Kat yet, I’d hope they’d be saving her for this line.
It’d be great to have her with a fully articulated robot arm!
I need that Halo Legends John-117….. NOW
Series two will include: Spartan Scout, Gungnir, Oceanic, and named characters of Demarco and Sgt. forge.
Oh and Romeo (ODST)
Where will they be sold
I got mine at Walmart today and they’re pretty cool
