It’s been well over a year since I’ve had some new McFarlane Toys Halo figures to review, but the day I wasn’t sure would ever come finally has! The distribution on Halo 4 Series 3 hasn’t been the best, but after ordering Jul ‘Mdama for $14 shipped online, the Didact’s Hand is now in the house! But should this McFarlane Jul ‘Mdama figure be in your house too? Read on for my review…

No, that wasn’t an oversight–the McFarlane Toys booth was just an epic disappointment at the 2015 Toy Fair. I feared we were in for another year with just one or two new figures–but I was wrong! Just one month after Toy Fair, McFarlane Toys has now officially revealed the case ratios for Halo 5 Series 1, and the Halo 5 Guardians Series 1 figures are now up for order!
Continue Reading →Last summer, Dark Horse announced that they would be going beyond comic books with their Halo offerings for the very first time by creating an all-new line of Halo Replica ships and vehicles! We’ve had to wait over half a year for more information on this line, but at the New York Toy Fair 2015 last week, Dark Horse Deluxe brought along the first three Dark Horse Halo ship replicas to show off at the event: the UNSC Infinity, a UNSC Pelican and the Covenant Truth and Reconciliation!

Coming later this year–it’s the Halo 5 Mega Bloks UNSC Attack Gausshog set… with Master Chief and Arbiter figures!
Continue Reading →I’ve talked a fair bit about the Halo Mega Bloks Summer 2015 sets that were on display at the New York Toy Fair 2015 last week, but those weren’t all the new Halo collectibles that were on display at the event! Kotobukiya put out their 1/6th scale ARTFX Master Chief statue earlier this winter, but at the 2015 Toy Fair, they showed off their cheaper (and cooler!) 1/10 Master Chief ARTFX+ statue and alternate Spartan armor sets!
Continue Reading →One of the great tragedies of the early days of the Halo Mega Bloks toy line is that the enormous Halo Wars Firebase Mega Bloks set was cancelled, despite a prototype of the Mega Bloks Firebase being created and shown off. Halo fans have been sorrowful over this loss for years–but as revealed at the 2015 Toy Fair, MEGA Brands is going to do their best to make things right! Though it’s undergone a lot of changes since the original model, a Halo Mega Bloks Firebase set is finally coming in summer/fall 2015…
Continue Reading →With the changing of the guard and Mattel taking over MEGA Brands, I feared that the days of seeing obscure, niche Halo vehicles represented in the Halo Mega Bloks toy line might be over. But at New York Toy Fair 2015, Mattel/MEGA Brands proved that that was not the case! While there aren’t many vehicles from Halo Wars remaining that need representation in Mega Bloks Halo toys form, we can cross one of the largest off the list: the Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Vulture flew in at the 2015 Toy Fair!
Continue Reading →One of the things that Halo Mega Bloks fans have cried out for, almost since the start of the Mega Bloks Halo toys line, was a fully-revamped Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Scorpion Tank. While the first-ever wave contained a Halo Mega Bloks Scorpion tank–and we got a slightly tweaked ODST Scorpion later on–a new and improved Halo Mega Bloks Scorpion just never came to a fruition. However, at New York Toy Fair 2015, we got our first look at an all-new Halo 5 Mega Bloks Tank that’s not a new Scorpion, but is definitely the next best thing!

Halo Mega Bloks has gone through some major changes since last year’s Toy Fair as a result of MEGA Brands being purchased by Mattel. Because of that, I’m not able to offer the same comprehensive, in-depth coverage of all the … Continue Reading →
Last week, I gave my comprehensive thoughts on the three mass-release McFarlane Toys Halo 4 Series 3 figures which are due to hit stores very, very soon. But I mentioned in that article that there was a previously-unannounced exclusive figure … Continue Reading →
Well, well–it certainly has been a while, hasn’t it? I can’t remember a drought of Halo toy news this bad since the Halo Mega Bloks and Halo McFarlane Toys lines kicked into high gear over half a decade ago. Luckily, … Continue Reading →
It’s been a pretty quiet winter for Halo Mega Bloks collectors, but as stores reset their aisles for the new year, several of the Halo Mega Bloks 2015 sets are making their way out into online stores and onto physical store shelves in respectable quantities. And of the sets finally making their presence known in force, none is more high-profile than the Halo Mega Bloks Covenant Drone Outbreak set, which gives us our first Halo Mega Bloks Drone figures… and our first official Jorge figure!
Continue Reading →I’ve been busy lately (and still am), so updates are a mite behind, but I just had to take some time to make what I’m sure is going to be one of the most anticipated posts of the winter: the … Continue Reading →
Almost every collectibles company to purchase the Halo license has kicked off their line with the Master Chief (or a green generic Spartan looking like the Master Chief). From NECA to McFarlane Toys to Kotobukiya to Funko to MEGA Brands … Continue Reading →
Now that Halo is back in the mainstream eye with the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and next year’s Halo 5 video game, a wide range of Halo collectibles from a variety of companies are finally starting to … Continue Reading →
I said long ago that I had no interest in picking up an XBox One until Halo came to the system, and I stayed true to my word. But with the Halo Master Chief Collection game hitting stores next week, I finally decided to go pick up my limited-edition white XBox One bundle today. On my trip into town to pick up my XBox console, I stopped at Toys R Us on a whim. While there, my eyes lit up to finally see something I’d waited my entire Halo collecting life for: the Signature Series Halo Mega Bloks Covenant Scarab 97964 has now been released!
Continue Reading →2014 has gone by like a whirlwind, and as crazy as it may be, it’s already time to get psyched up for the Halo Mega Bloks 2015 sets! Even though the absolute earliest we should see the Halo Mega Bloks Bravo Series (AKA Halo Mega Bloks Series 11) figures beginning to arrive is in December 2014, over the past week MEGA Brands has been nice enough to reveal all nine figures that make up the eight different Halo Mega Bloks Series Bravo blind bag mystery packs…
Continue Reading →If you’re a Halo Play Arts Kai collector, 2014 was a complete and utter bust. That’s not to say that the Halo figures Square-Enix released in 2014 were bad–that would actually be preferable to the actual situation, which is that … Continue Reading →
Earlier this month, MEGA Brands announced that the special Halo Mega Bloks Ultimate Battle Collector Pack 97390 would be coming to Target stores “soon”. Well, at the time we weren’t sure exactly just how soon “soon” was… but we sure do know now! From announcement to store shelves in under two weeks, one of the final Halo Mega Bloks sets of 2014 has arrived: the Halo Mega Bloks 97390 Ultimate Battle Collector Pack has now been released in stores!
