I honestly wasn’t expecting to write any more posts here on Halo Toy News until the beginning of the New York Toy Fair 2014 this weekend. But then a funny thing happened–I started receiving messages and E-Mails from a multitude of readers (you know who you are) that MEGA Brands had unexpectedly posted the complete lineup for Halo Mega Bloks Series 9 96978. To my absolute astonishment, it is true. The 2014 Toy Fair won’t begin for a few more days, but we already know the full lineup for the Halo Mega Bloks Series 9 figures blind bags…
Continue Reading →Every time I don’t post for a few weeks I get a flurry of messages from people asking if I’m closing down Halo Toy News, so let me just touch base and assuage everyone’s fears. No–HaloToyNews is not closing down, nor am I giving it up or turning the site over to someone else to run. There simply has not been any new Halo Toy News lately, so I’ve been giving the site a break rather than prattling on endlessly about nothing. But that dearth of news will be coming to an end next week, when Halo Toy News will be at the New York Toy Fair 2014…
Continue Reading →We’re still a few weeks away from the New York Toy Fair 2014 (where the bulk of the Halo Mega Bloks Fall 2014 sets are expected to be revealed–and yes, Halo Toy News will be on hand this year), but … Continue Reading →
The amount of brand new Halo Mega Bloks sets on store shelves this winter is slightly lower than the number of sets that we may be used to seeing at this time of year, but luckily, some new exclusives are starting to appear to fill the void in our collecting hearts! With no advance warning, a new pair of Halo Mega Bloks Blue Series Weapons Packs has now appeared in Target stores: the 2014 Halo Mega Bloks Blue Series Elite Honor Guard and ODST sets!

Well, this is certainly a first! This week, we got news of an all-new Halo Mega Bloks 2014 set coming down the pike not from MEGA Brands, not from a convention and not even from a factory leak. Nope! The next Mega Bloks Halo 2014 set has been revealed by… the German Amazon.de site. Crazy, right? Anyway, we can probably expect to see this set in person at the 2014 Toy Fair next month, but for now, let’s check out the hi-res images of the upcoming Halo Mega Bloks UNSC ONI REAP-X Quad Walker 97263…
Continue Reading →I apologize that I haven’t exactly been posting up a storm this far in 2014, but things have been really slow in the Halo toys collecting world the last few weeks. Things will undeniably pick up at the 2014 Toy … Continue Reading →
Even though it was just a week ago that the 2014 Halo Mega Bloks Series 8 blind bags were first spotted in Europe, United States sightings are starting to pour in from Toys R Us stores across the country! Along with the eight regular figures we’ve previously seen that comprise the series, the three super-rare Halo Mega Bloks Series 8 Mystery Figures have popped up for sale online! And this time, they include the first-ever clear Promethean figure…

Remember the other day when I talked about the Sideshow Exclusive Edition Master Chief Premium Format Figure? The one that pre-sold out for $400 last year that just shipped and is selling for a crazy $1000 online now? Well, Sideshow is back at it again, with not one but two new Halo statues that are going to be even more limited than the exclusive Master Chief with Needler! Going up for sale on Thursday, December 19th–the Halo Spartan Red Team Leader and Blue Team Leader Premium Format Figure statues! And this time, they’re limited to one hundred pieces each…

Last night I posted the first Halo Mega Bloks Series 8 codes list, but now I reckon it might be prudent to backtrack a bit and talk about the first set of Halo Mega Bloks 2014 mystery pack blind bags figures! Those hoping for another humongous assortment of 20 figures like we got for Series 7 are doomed to disappointment, but Mega Bloks Halo Series 8 still has some enticing figure included that have never been in the Halo Mystery Packs before…

Looking to give (or ask for) a really wicked Halo-themed Christmas present? Well, how about the best (and most expensive) Halo figure ever made, on sale for its lowest price ever…?
When I saw the first of the ThreeA Toys Halo sixth scale figures go up for sale, there were a couple of reasons I didn’t order one. First was the fact that the character chosen was the Spartan Noble Squad leader, Commander Carter, perhaps my least favorite character in the whole Halo universe. The other reason was that this particular Halo action figure carried a price tag of $220. Well, I definitely don’t like Carter any more today than I did six months ago, but the other problem has cleared up a bit–the ThreeA Toys Halo Reach Carter 1/6 figure is now being clearance priced to a far more reasonable $140 shipped…
