I woke up this morning to one of the biggest Halo headlines of the year: “NECA Announces Partnership With 343 Industries for Halo Merchandise”. At a glance this announcement is pretty jaw-dropping, but upon reading the exact details of the news, it’s not quite as riveting as you might hope…
Continue Reading →A few people have written in to me asking when I was going to discuss the not-quite-secret-anymore 2014 Halo Mega Bloks Drop Pods, but I’ve been putting off that particular assortment for a couple reasons. Primarily, though, it’s because I … Continue Reading →
We’ve had naught but good news on the Halo Mega Bloks front lately, with all of the winter 2013 Mega Bloks Halo sets now in stores and the first announcements and photos slipping out of the Halo Mega Bloks 2014 … Continue Reading →
Earlier today I discussed three of the four known upcoming Halo Mega Bloks 2014 sets, but I wanted to hold out on talking about the fourth until I had a bit more time. It’s actually the smallest of the four sets, but there’s the most to talk about because it’s the first 2014 Halo Mega Bloks set that we’ve had the pleasure of seeing both packaged and loose! Coming in January 2014, it’s the Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Weapons Pack II 97207!
Continue Reading →Though we’re less than two months away from the start of 2014, MEGA Brands has done a pretty amazing job this year of keeping all details (even the set names!) of their upcoming slate of Halo Mega Bloks 2014 sets top-secret. But with 2014 just around the corner and new sets due on shelves in less than two months, even the most classified information can’t be kept hidden forever. Thus, this weekend we got our first glance at a quartet of 2014 Halo Mega Bloks sets, including an all-new UNSC Cyclops and Covenant Ghost…
Continue Reading →It totally blows my mind, but it’s now been almost two years to the day since I posted my review of the original Halo Reach Elite Ranger action figure (which you can find in the Reviews Index archive). That McFarlane … Continue Reading →
After discussing the unprecedented Halo Mega Bloks Ultimate Combat Pack 97233 of twenty figures that was revealed earlier this week, it’s a bit deflating to go back and talk about a Mega Bloks Halo figure set that’s a little less … Continue Reading →
Just when you thought that every Halo Mega Bloks figure you were going to need from the 2013 Mega Bloks Halo collection was now available, MEGA Brands has unleashed a veritable treasure-trove end-of-the-year set of Halo Mega Bloks figures! MEGA … Continue Reading →
There hasn’t been any sneakiness or subterfuge going on with the McFarlane Toys Halo 4 Cover Master Chief statue. No, it was shown on the Halo Waypoint website and even displayed unannounced at San Diego Comic Con 2013–we definitely knew … Continue Reading →
I make no secret of the fact that I love Halo Wars. It’s my favorite Halo video game, and most likely my favorite XBox game period. Since MEGA Brands began the Halo theme with the Halo Wars Mega Bloks line … Continue Reading →
It’s been a little quiet here at Halo Toy News this last week, as I spent the past week preparing for, going to, and reporting from New York Comic Con 2013 for my various blogs. But as you may have … Continue Reading →

Given that it took me approximately one-gazillion hours to build the brand-new Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Pelican Gunship 97129, I want to be sure to give its review all of the time, detail and attention that is deserves. As such, … Continue Reading →
After visiting two dozen Walgreens stores in a period of eight days (and no, that’s not hyperbole), I finally managed to hunt down the one exclusive figure from McFarlane Toys Halo 4 Series 2: the Green/Steel CIO Spartan action figure… … Continue Reading →

While I’ve been driving around like a crazy person trying to hunt down McFarlane Toys Halo 4 Series 2 from what seems like an infinite number of Walgreens stores (and no, I haven’t found any yet besides Master Chief & … Continue Reading →
Of the four electronic lights and sounds Halo Mega Bloks sets that MEGA Brands unveiled at the 2013 New York Toy Fair, the 97134 Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Night Ops Gausshog was easily the one I was least interested in. Compared to the Mega Bloks Halo Wars vehicles sets (UNSC Cobra, UNSC Hornet and Covenant Vampire) and a new UNSC Pelican, a new Halo 4 Mega Bloks Warthog didn’t seem all that compelling. Well, I received my Night Ops Gausshog Mega Bloks set from BA Toys last week, and not only do I find the completed set compelling, but I can give it a wholehearted recommendation…
Continue Reading →It was a pretty busy weekend for me, and the primary reason for that was that I spent four hours driving around to 11 different Walgreens stores in my area. My disdain for toy shopping at Walgreens is well-known, and there’s … Continue Reading →
Considering that McFarlane Toys Halo action figure collectors have had to go almost a year without any new Halo 4 figures, some fans have started to develop a bit of a Chicken Little “The Sky Is Falling” complex about McFarlane … Continue Reading →
