It has been literally years since I reviewed a Halo action figure, and I really didn’t anticipate that I would ever be interested enough to review one again. But Wicked Cool Toys (now owned by Jazwares) had a surprise showing of Halo action figures at New York Toy Fair 2020 that caught my eye, and when I heard about the new figures hitting stores, the fever overcame me and I ended up scooping up most of the first wave. Three never-before-seen Halo Mega Bloks Summer 2016 sets unexpectedly made their debut today, but there’s one I’m far more surprised to see than the others. The odd set out is definitely the Halo Mega Bloks Summer 2016 UNSC Spade Rush set, which brings back the UNSC Spade vehicle from Halo: Reach. I finally ordered the Halo Mega Bloks UNSC All-Terrain Mongoose 97339 set online after missing it in stores for weeks. Of course, the biggest selling-point of this set isn’t the Mongoose–we’ve got loads of those. No, this set is hot because it comes with the first-ever Mega Bloks Halo Emile figure! Does Emile make it worth buying yet another Mega Bloks Mongoose?
