What do you get for Christmas for the Halo collector in your life (or yourself) who already has everything produced for Halo that costs less than $600? Well, your options are limited in that case, but TriForce has a couple of new suggestions for you–and they’re two of the coolest Halo collectibles that I’ve ever seen! Straight out of the Halo 5: Guardians video game, the Halo 5 Spartan Locke and Spartan Kelly Replica helmets are now available for order! But while every big Halo fan is gonna want these helmets, only 500 are going to be able to get them…

I complain a lot about McFarlane Toys and ThreeA Toys not releasing enough Halo figures, but my wallet breathes a huge sign of relief every day there’s not a couple hundred dollars worth of new Spartan action figures to pay off.

Thankfully for my collecting addiction (and unfortunately for my credit limit), TriForce has cooked up two amazing–and expensive–new Halo collectibles that are gonna cost way more than a year’s worth of McFarlane Toys Halo action figures ever did: full-scale Halo 5: Guardians helmet replicas of Spartan Jameson Locke and Kelly-087!

I thought that the Plasma Rifle replicas TriForce had previously created looked cool, but they are nothing compared to the beauty of these 1:1 scale replica Spartan Helmets.

Both the Halo 5 Kelly and Locke helmets are hand-painted and will measure around 12.9″ long (AKA life-size). You want LED functions? Yup, those are built in as well!

And if you’re planning to carry these Spartan helmets around the house with you, may need to start working out–each helmet is going to weigh over 15 pounds!

But if you’re salivating just looking at these Halo replicas, you’d better be reaching for your pocketbook at well–a total of only 500 of each will be produced. With millions of Halo fans out there, that’s less than one helmet for every one one hundredth of a percent of fans out there!

As jaw-dropping as these helmet replicas cost, they’re also staggeringly expensive with an MSRP of $650. At that price, I’m only ordering Kelly’s helmet (for now). As much as I like Locke’s Spartan-IV armor, it’s Kelly and the Spartan-IIs from Eric Nylund’s books that made me love Halo. And hey–you’ve gotta love that EVA helmet.

I usually split my pre-orders between Entertainment Earth and BBTS, and this time I opted for EE. BBTS is charging a $200 deposit per helmet, whereas EE is not charging a deposit at all–plus Entertainment Earth is giving free shipping on a 20+ pound item that’s probably gonna cost a small fortune to mail otherwise–so they earned my dollars for the Spartan Kelly helmet.

And while I’m resisting the Locke helmet (for now), if it stays in-stock long enough, I just may need to put together the dollars for that one as well…

The Halo 5: Guardians Kelly and Jameson Locke prop replica helmets are now available for pre-order, and are scheduled to be released in Q2 2016. With only 500 of each full-scale helmet being available for purchase, I’d highly advise anybody who thinks they’re going to want one of these Halo helmets to place a pre-order now. You can always choose to cancel later before you’re billed, but once these are sold out–and they will sell out–these Spartan helmets are going to skyrocket in value on the aftermarket.
